Most people think of Lake George only as a summer town. Understandable. I mean, who wouldn't want to enjoy this? Or this? But winter is a great time in Lake George. Here is a shot of what the resort looks like from the lake. This weekend starts the Lake George Winter Carnival. You can find their schedule of events here. If you have never been it is a really fun winter event. In runs on the weekends throughout the month of February. Winter Wonderful!

While most people think of Lake George as a summer town we forget the beauty of the area in the winter. Here are photos taken around the resort in the last few weeks. Not too bad, huh? This first photo was taken on a very chilly morning in early January. The temperature when the photo was taken was -9 degrees!
